Q1. How can I become a certified yoga teacher or yoga instructor?
To become a certified yoga teacher, you must successfully complete a yoga teacher training course and show competence in your ability to teach a yoga class. Find out what the suggested minimum requirements for yoga teachers are at www.yogaalliance.org. The yoga alliance page also lists training programs and yoga schools that meet their minimum standards.
Q2. How many students are there in the YTT classes/courses?
We accept 15 to 20 students in each course of YTT.
Q3. What is dress code for the yoga class?
White colour clothes are recommended, Try to avoid black colour clothes, Modest dressing is highly recommended.
Q4. Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
No, yoga mat is provided to all students with course material
Q5. I’m pregnant can I attend to the course?
No, the course is too intense for pregnant women to complete.
Q6. If want to skip class am I able to do that?
In case of emergency yes, but you’ll have to inform the teacher from the class about it.
Q7. Can I attend to the same course with my partner?
Yes, it is possible to attend the TTC with your partner.
Q8. I tried yoga few times. Will it be to advanced for me to attend the TTC ?
The YTTC are suitable for everyone as we committed to teach you from the very root of yoga through all aspects, so experience are not necessary.
Q9. Are the teachers well qualified?
All teachers are qualified Yogis, some are with PHD degrees of yoga sciences, and some are with MA degrees.
Q10. Will language be my barrier as English is not my first language?
No, all students are coming from different parts of the world, so English are most likely second language of them. The courses are easily understandable and teachers will help you in anything.
Q11. Do I have to read any books?
There is few book that you’ll have to read during your course. Is your choice to start before your arrival or once you are at the school.
Q12. Arrival & Departure?
In order to attend the orientation program, one should arrive at least a day before starting of the course. On the first day at 11:00 am the Course will start with yoga ritual. On last day of the course, graduation ceremony takes place and it finishes by 8:00 pm, therefore, departure should be planned one day after completion of the course.
Q13. What are the prerequisites for this online program?
As the TTC program would be conducted online, you would need a device (smartphone/ laptop/iPad etc.) with a basic Internet connection to run the Zoom App for online classes. About Zoom App: Available free on Google play store/AppStore/laptops. Free sign up using your mail ID. Specific login details would be provided to enter sessions of the program. Besides this, you must be 16 years or older in age.
Q14. What would be the difference between the regular and the online program?
The program would be exactly the same. There would be no change in the syllabus, course material provided as well as the teachers conducting the sessions.
Q15. What is the teacher training program schedule?
The 200 hours teacher-training program is very disciplined. It will require 80% of attendance, 100% of your involvement in all sessions and full commitment to the process. The daily schedule would be from Monday to Saturday from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST. The entire program is 24 days long. Further details would be shared as you enrol. The students are expected to follow the program schedule strictly.
Q16. Will you be providing the course material to study at home?
The participants would be provided with the soft copy of the 1 month’s teacher training handbook and in case they wish any further books for reference they can purchase it from us which will be couriered post lockdown and the courier charges will be borne by the students.
Q17. Will there be any changes in the fee structure when it’s offline?
There would be no change in the fee structure for the sessions. An additional fee would be charged if you choose the offline option for the meals provided during the day and if you opt for a residential facility at the institute.
Q18. When would the course end?
The last date for the batch starting on DEC 02nd would be DEC 28th.
Q19. How will I be assessed for the certification?
On completion of the program with minimum required attendance, assignments, you would be eligible for the exam. Students, who successfully pass the exams, would be awarded the certificate.
Q20.When will I get the certificate?
The certificates are awarded to the students after successful completion of the TTC by Yogmadhyama , on the next day of the exam. If you choose the online mode, we would be sending the certificate via email. If you want the hard copy of the same, extra courier charges would be applied.
Q21. Will the credibility of the certificate the same as your regular 200 hours course?
As there is no change in the structure of the course content as regular 200 hours TTC, the credibility of the certificate remains exactly the same in this case too.
Q22. Will my certificate mention that I have done the course online or in part time format, if I choose that option?
The certificate would not mention these details. It remains the same as a regular 200 hours program conducted usually at the institute.
Q23. Why ‘The Yoga Institute’? How will the course benefit me?
The Yoga Institute is the oldest yoga school of the world, recognized by the Government of India (Ministry of Ayush) and is the first Yoga school to be accredited after the AYUSHQCI scheme was launched. This is a RYT 200-hour
course, fully accredited with AYUSH, YCB and the Yoga Alliance USA; and the participant is eligible to apply on Yoga Alliance site as Registered Yoga Teacher.
Q24. Is there any other option to make payment of the fees and register?

1. 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course – 24 Days

Q26. Will there be written and practical exams at the end of the course?
Yes. It would be best if you were compelled to meet the assessment criteria to pass the YTTC. You’ll be assessed on each of the modules. Assessments area unit each written and sensible. Our lecturers can offer details of what’s expected throughout the first week. You’ll have much steering and support throughout the course.
Q27. How many students are going to be there in each course?
We believe this is going to be a life-changing experience for you. We must remain true to our mission of spreading healing across the world. Our courses must remain intimate. Therefore, each course is limited to 15 students.
Q28. How many years of experience do I need to join the Yoga TTC course?
The Yoga Teacher Training course is suitable for everyone as we are committed to teaching you from the root to all the aspects of Yoga, so the experience is unnecessary.

Q30. Are you registered with Yoga Alliance?
Yes, we are registered with Yoga Alliance; you can check our registration here. YOGMADHYAMA on Yoga Alliance.
Q31. Can I do a work exchange for your TTC course?
As our ttc courses are highly demanding, you will not have time to work, so we do not offer this option. After the course, we will see if you qualify to stay on as an assistant, which is the current work exchange program.
Q32. What is expected from our students while they are here?
Apart from an open mind and desire to learn, we have a few more expectations when participating in our teacher training course. Applicants should have a good general fitness level to get the most from our courses, so please come healthy and in good shape! 100% attendance to all classes during the course is mandatory; otherwise, you will not gain full benefit. A minimum contact hour requirement is required to qualify for your certificate under the Yoga Alliance guidelines. We understand that the courses are intense, so please communicate with us if you have any problems during your stay. We do our best to ensure your comfort but can’t read your mind if you don’t tell us there’s a problem, so please talk to us!

Generally, our 200-hour courses benefit all levels of practitioners. Those who wish to take more advanced classes should be firmly established in their yoga practice to
ensure they can get the most out of the opportunity.
Q35. How much does tuition cost, and what does it include?
The tuition starts from $1199 and covers the following: over 23 days, our students participate in intense and immersive classes starting at 6:30 AM and ending at 8:00 PM, familiarizing themselves with the fundamental aspects of yoga. Every student can choose accommodation, whether a private room or shared, and three vegetarian
meals per day.
Q36. How do I reserve a spot?
We ask all prospective students to fill out a personal application form. So we can understand their background in yoga, motivation to learn, and see if they are fit to study. To fully secure your spot, we require a non-refundable deposit that is used to reserve your spot in our course and is also applied towards your entire course
tuition.
Q37. What is the refund policy?
The advance fee is non-refundable, but it is transferable (valid for 12 months), which means that if you cannot join the course in the month you choose, you can switch your course to another month within 12 months.
Q38. What amount should I deposit to reserve my spot, and when must I pay the balance?
Following is the classification of the advance fee:
1. 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training == US $210 ($200 fee and $10 tax)
2. 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training == US $210 ($200 fee and $10 tax)
3. 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training == US $420 ($400 fee and $20 tax)
4. Yoga Retreat == US $105 ($100 fee and $5 tax)
Q39. How can I pay the remaining fee?
You can pay in hard cash (We accept INR, USD, EUROS, and AUD), or you can pay us through debit/credit card, Bank Transfer, and TransferWise. You can visit our Payment Options page for more information about Payment options on arrival.
Q40. Will we have days off during the course?
Yes, Sundays are free.
Q41. After attending a Yoga TTC with YOG MADHYAMA, Will I teach Yoga anywhere in the world?
Yes, after successful completion, you will teach Hatha, Ashtanga & Iyengar Yoga anywhere in the world. You have to check your country’s requirements regarding registration, requirements, etc.
Q42. I am a beginner. Can I attend the course?
Yes, you can. Our courses are specially designed for beginners.
Q43. What Vaccines do I need to bring with me?
Vaccines are not compulsory but are advisable. You must consult your doctor about the vaccines you need to visit India. Depending on your country, you may need different ones. On this page, you can find some helpful information. Look at this site for more info: wwwnc.cdc.gov.
Q44. Can I eat before class?
Yoga should be practiced on an empty belly, so you should leave 3-4 hours after a main meal or two hours after a soft snack.
Q45. Will the classes be all women?
No. More men are beginning to realize the benefits of Yoga, and many also attend regularly. The postures are a challenge to both men and women.
Q46. What shall I wear?
Wear clothes that don’t restrict your movement in any way. Most people wear shorts or leggings (it helps if the teacher can see your knees!) and a T-shirt or vest. Yoga is always practiced on bare feet.
Q47. What are the real-life benefits of this?
What AREN’T the real-life benefits of this program? This is the question you should be asking!

Q48. Are there any prerequisites to taking the Inspiring Spirit (i.e., a certain number of years of doing Yoga)?
This program is open to everyone! This program is for you as long as you are open to learning + growing, willing to
step outside your comfort zone, and ready to transform your life. People have stepped into this program after only doing a few yoga classes. It is a great way to build + expand your current yoga practice no matter where you are in your yoga journey.

The practice of Yoga includes a very holistic approach to health. It includes practices which focus on the wellbeing of the body, mind and soul. Initially the benefits are very subtle but over a period of time when iy becomes a way of life,

Q50. I’m not fit & flexible – can I do yoga?
Yes! In fact you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think that they need to be flexible to begin yoga. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible.
